Please keep in mind that I do not partake in any indoor dining. If you wish to grab a drink or a bite with me, it must be at an outdoor location or take-out to our private space.

If you have further questions about how our appointment would go, you are welcome to call me on NiteFlirt (see “Virtual Engagement” for details on my availability). I’m unable to text about meet-ups on NiteFlirt due to terms of services. Please give me a call if you’re looking to chat about your booking.

  • COVID-19  is an airborne virus that begins as an upper respiratory infection. Airborne viruses spread in the air like smoke. Studies show that while COVID-19 begins as a respiratory illness, even asymptomatic bouts can cause cardiovascular illness, immune system dysfunction, neurological dysfunction, erectile dysfunction, and more.

On May 5, 2023, the World Health Organization ended the global health emergency but did not eliminate COVID-19 as a global threat. Their recommendation? Manage COVID-19 alongside other infectious diseases. “Last week, COVID-19 claimed a life every three minutes”, said Dr. Tedros. “This virus is here to stay. It is still killing, and it is still changing. The risk remains of new variants emerging that cause new surges in cases and deaths. […] The worst thing any country could do now is to use this news as a reason to let down its guard, to dismantle the systems it has built, or to send the message to its people that COVID19 is nothing to worry about,” continued Dr. Tedros.

According to the CDC, COVID-19 can have lasting effects on nearly every organ and organ system of the body weeks, months, and potentially years after infection.. This is called long-COVID and it affects millions of Americans. Repeated COVID infections increase risks of long-COVID.

COVID-19 is not like the flu and COVID is not over. For more myth busters, see this Stanford Health page

  • I am so glad to hear about your good health. While vaccines have the potential to lower the severity of COVID-19 and long-COVID, it does not eliminate the risk of catching it. My risk mitigation impacts myself, my family, and all of my suitors. Repeated COVID-19 infections, including asymptomatic infections, increases the chance of further health dysregulation and leaves people more vulnerable to other infections. Sort of like diabetes, lyme disease, or HIV.

Today, millions suffer from long-COVID, so much so that it has a sizable impact on the United States economy. My goal is to create safer spaces where we can play while mitigating risk. Additionally, many of my clients are immunocompromised or care for their children, elderly parents, or other immunocompromised people. We all deserve to play and I have always aimed for My play to be inclusive.

  • COVID-19 is currently the third leading cause of death. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 10 infections carries the risk of Long COVID. Consecutive infections increase your chances of developing long-COVID. For statistics on cases and more, visit the People’s CDC.

  • Unless playing, I wear a ffp2 mask (Flo Mask, 3M Aura, or a KN95) diligently in indoor settings. Additionally, I frequently use Nitric Oxid Nasal Sprays and CPC-containing mouthwashes. Lastly, I strive to share ventilated space with others when unmasked. This means either being outdoors or opening windows when possible. Lastly, I use HEPA air filters where possible.

  • I treat all appointments on a case by case basis. I might modify our appointment where I remain masked or may ask us to reschedule. All deposits are non-refundable and cannot be carried over to another appointment.

  • COVID-19, much like STIs, HIV, etc is just another virus. Through good risk mitigation practices we can keep this virus at bay.

The safest way to gather is virtual. However, that is not always possible or desirable. In these instances, wear a well-fitted mask, especially in indoor settings. Don’t like your mask? I am happy to take 30 minutes of testing time to do a mask consultation with you. You will try different masks to test their comfort and fit. Please let me know in advance if this is something you are interested in.

If masks are currently cost-prohibitive, consider reaching out to your local health department or ProjectN95.

Additionally, avoiding being maskless in public spaces (grocery store, workplace, public transportation, etc) will boost your immune system. By protecting yourself from all air-bone viruses including influenza, RSV, and more, you give yourself a chance to lead a healthier, happier life. Love eating out? Consider eating outdoors or buying takeout and having a picnic with loved ones. For occasions when that is not possible, consider getting a portable air filtration system to carry. Here is a buying guide.

A checklist for when gathering with loved ones:

    • Encourage each others to take an at home test before coming.

    • Mask while together, regardless of negative results.

    • Create ventilation such as hosting outdoors, or opening your doors and windows wide when gathering inside.

    • Installing HEPA air filters. For more, consider this buying guide.

Lastly, many people may not know they have long-COVID. Talking about this subject may nudge someone in the right direction. Better yet, communal risk mitigation saves all of us from developing a debilitating illness.

It is important to play and it is important to defeat this virus. Let’s do both together!
